About Us

Thank you for visiting us! This documents our adoption journey to Bella Catherine Long Luoyue Pearson, in China. Why Chocolate Noodles? Well, we’ve learned that Bella's favorite foods are noodles and candy. Both, Dale and Rachel LOVE chocolate and Beth chose to fast from chocolate until she can share it with Bella. We would be honored if you would follow along as we travel to China to complete our family.

We were fingerprinted today. The technician doesn’t think mine will be readable but we will try to use them. The agency sends you with fingerprint cards and they don’t provide extras. We’ll have to send what we have.

We got great news today from Nightlight about the possibility of getting an exception from China to adopt. They said, “Just after I sent you the last e-mail, my facilitator responded.  She said she believes you will be able to adopt.  You will need to apply to the program and complete a home study. I can send you a list of approved providers in your area so that you can receive a referral of a child.  We will submit your paperwork to the CCAA for pre-approval.  Once we have that pre-approval, we can then move forward with the other items needed.”

Fortunately, Lifeline Christian Services, the original agency we contacted and felt strongly about, is one of their partner agencies. Lifeline can still do our home study and Nightlight will be our primary provider.

We are cautiously excited. Nightlight Christian Adoptions has received our email and has contacted us about their China program. They understand we’ve been rejected but feel they can attempt to get us an exception. They’re sending the application to complete and return it ASAP.

God has opened the door and we are walking through. If China is where God wants us, He will make it happen.
