It's here and I'm awake and thinking about what today will hold. Its hard to believe we finally meet our daughter today. Our guide Lily will pick us up in the lobby at 2:00pm and take us to Bella. As hard as I try I cannot grasp what the moment will be like.
We all wonder what her last couple of days have been like. Our understanding is that she would have gone back to the orphanage for a day or two prior to today. Her losses feel extremely heavy and sad this morning. But We know she will eventually realize that the losses were all necessary for a larger gain. A forever family and more love than she can imagine. It does strike me how, in many ways today mirrors the salvation day so many of us have experienced. We left behind what we thought was good only to realize our gain far, far outweighs any of our sacrifices or losses.
We have prayed all throughout the journey and fully believe God has held and prepared Bella's heart for today. He is so loving and compassionate toward us all, especially the widows and orphans.
